Making Our House

In our family home evening last week we made our little log home from a kit Granma and Gramps gave us as a present from their holiday to America. We called it Bountiful. We liked doing it - it was really fun.

It is a bit like the log house we are going to build one day. We used it when our home teachers came.

Hannah took a picture of it for you to see but did it as a video.

A little reminder from Gramps (Ceri's Dad):

I am glad you enjoyed making the cabin. You know we bought it in the Red Brick Store in Nauvou where the Prophet Joseph Smith worked selling things and where, upstairs, he held a meeting with the sisters to form the Relief Society. Emma Smith, Joseph's wife was there (she wrote the first Church hymn book) and Eliza Snow was there, a very famous poet who had met Charles Dickens who wrote the Christmas Story, and who wrote some very beautiful church hymns including "O My Father".
