Daniel's baby blessing - September 2011

We went to Kidderminster the last weekend in September and stayed with my parents there. Michael's Mum had just returned from her mission in Perth, Australia, and we enjoyed a couple of days with her at our house getting reacquainted (or newly acquainted in Daniel's case) before bringing her back to Kidderminster with us.

She had some friends come for her homecoming talk at church that Sunday, and we also had Daniel's baby blessing while we were there. He was nine months old already! I didn't manage to get any pictures of him in white before he found a strawberry to devour/play with after church and had to get changed, so here are a couple my Dad had already taken.

Also some other cute photos from the day....
Samuel and his cousin Elodie certainly made friends during the day. It's a shame they don't get to meet up much. Samuel is always wanting to do different things with Elodie. He loves her lots!

Two look-alikes - Daniel and Gramps.

Enjoying Granma and Gramps' garden, with my friend Lou.

THE PEAR...

What a gorgeous picture!

I love you Dad!

All but the top two photos NOT taken by Ceri, but I'm not sure who (I haven't asked though)!
Perhaps Rachel, while I was walking Lou home I guess? I think they're wonderful, and I love the story they tell!
I know a little boy who REALLY wanted to pick that pear (the one solitary pear on Gramps' tree that year), so I'm sure he was very happy he got to do that.

Isn't it fun how different people's photos have a different style about them?

Daddy's Day! (19th June 2011)

Well, this was Father's Day two years ago! Nice to look at again anyway. There are several draft posts that never quite got finished along the way, so I'll post some of those now (with their original dates) and in not many days to come, while I catch up again on the last two and a bit years! If anyone still takes a look here ever, I hope you enjoy them, and as ever it would be lovely if you have anything to say (even "Hi!" to leave a comment then we'll know you've dropped by. Love to all!

It was father's day on Sunday, and Michael enjoyed both a restful and enjoyable afternoon - having some time to study after church while we got things put away from church and ready for "family home evening", with all of us during the afternoon, and then more time to study while I made tea. He ended up playing his guitar while he watched Daniel for a while for me, which they both love, so that makes it nice and easy. :o) He seemed very happy. Here he is with his adoring children...

And here's Daniel having what I think must have been his first taste of food! The next day we have photos of him tucking into our evening meal with us, which is how we do weaning now, so I think so! He was clearly enjoying the experience anyway!
